Your wings already exist, all you have to do is fly…
Happy New Year! As I sit here writing this post, I can’t help but think about the past year. I go through the moments and play them back like a highlight reel in my mind, each moment triggering a different emotion inside of me. I read somewhere that each moment has the capacity to create transformation in our lives. We may not be mindful of these little moments until it collects and makes huge consequences. As important as these moments are it’s equally important to take time for reflection. We often don’t realize how far we’ve come until we stop and look back. Continue reading
The end of year is always a busy time especially because of the holidays. And with the holidays come parties! From work to friend and family festivities, there are a ton of opportunities to get dressed up. And not that I need an excuse to go shopping, but it’s never too early to start looking for the perfect dress for those holiday gatherings. If you are looking for something that will make you stand out, then I found the perfect dress for you! Continue reading
When you think of winter fashion, what comes to mind? Most people think, sweater weather. But, just because it’s cold out doesn’t mean you need to stick to a wardrobe of sweaters, leggings and boots. One of my favorite things about fashion is being able to transition pieces from season to season. The skater dress might seem like an unlikely option for cold weather attire but with some careful styling and layering, it’s a great transitional piece.
The weather in Upstate New York during the Winter can be brutal and I am no fan of being cold. Finding a way to stay warm and look cute while doing so, can be a struggle. Since they don’t make heated underwear (that I know of) and insulated snowsuits aren’t exactly fashion forward, I have decided to indulge in cozy sweaters that can transition from Fall to Winter. If you can only invest in one item this season, let it be this super cozy, oversized sweater dress from TOBI, that has, no doubt, become my newest obsession.
We have all heard of the little black dress or LBD, that is an essential in every woman's wardrobe, but have you heard of the little red dress (LRD)? The LRD is just as important; after all, Audrey Hepburn did say, "There is a shade of red for every woman."
Did you know that colors carry a lot of emotions?
According to color meanings dot com ,"When you want to make a statement and stand out in a crowd, red should definitely be your first pick. You are sure to be a show stopper in something like this red hot lace cocktail dress.", people tend to gamble and take risks more under red lights? It is no wonder this is the predominant color choice in casino atmospheres. If you are drawn to red clothing colors, then it indicates extroversion, passion, energy, and a personality type that is driven to live fully. People who like red clothes also tend to be aggressive, energetic, and quick in releasing their emotions. Red clothing colors indicate a person who is quick in judging people and expressing their opinions. When going for a job interview, it is best to stay away from this color as it can convey the wrong message to the interviewer. But If you are looking to make a statement and stand out in a crowd, then red should definitely be your first pick. You are sure to be a show stopper in something like this red hot lace cocktail dress.
Fly away with me....I am wearing a red hot lace cocktail dress paired with gold lace-up heals from Aldo Shoes and accessorized with Ralph Lauren Diamond earrings. This dress is perfect for a holiday party, special occasion, a sexy date night or night out with your girls. This dress pairs perfectly with your favorite black blazer for a more casual look. You can also try a fur shrug for a more sophisticated look for that evening out. With the holidays around the corner, you should start shopping for your LRD now!
